Abby Brett is a Speech-Language Pathologist and Manager of LSL Employee and Student Development at Hearts for Hearing. Abby was born and raised in Oklahoma City. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University (go Pokes!) and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Throughout graduate school, Abby always had a passion for working with children with hearing loss and particularly for auditory verbal therapy. She was thrilled to join the Hearts for Hearing team in May 2017 for her clinical fellowship before earning her certificate of clinical competence in February 2018. Abby teaches the Listening for Littles class and helps coordinate the teen group at Hearts for Hearing. Within the field of speech-language pathology, she has special interests in articulation/phonological disorders and literacy/pre-literacy skill development. When she’s not at work, Abby enjoys traveling any chance she gets, cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder and OSU, running/exercising, and spending time with her community group at church.
