Director of Development – Tulsa
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Development to lead our fundraising initiatives and drive growth for our mission in the Tulsa community. The Director of Development – Tulsa will play a key role in creating and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies that support our organization’s goals. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to have a significant impact on our growth and sustainability.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with the Chief of External Affairs to create and implement a fundraising plan and strategy.
- Advocates for the mission of Hearts for Hearing in the community for the sole purpose of fundraising
- Submits grant LOIs, full proposals, and annual reports
- Manages granting calendar
- Collaborates with EXT for special events, content, and collateral related to development
- Collaborates with Development Coordinator for CRM data entry and reporting as it relates to fundraising
- Maintains relationships with existing donors.
- Networks within the community to share information about Hearts for Hearing and identifies and builds relationships with new donors.
- Prepares monthly fundraising progress reports.
- Performs other duties as needed or required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, non-profit management, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in fundraising and business management
- Demonstrated history in leadership, fundraising, and event planning
- Skills in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills.
- Deals effectively with change and must be able to learn quickly when confronting new challenges.
- Relates well to individuals inside and outside of the organization.
