Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator maintains and analyzes donor data to better understand donor behaviors and relationships. As needed, the Development Coordinator provides support for the Directors of Development for Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Must be based near Oklahoma City.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Donor Database Management
    • Maintains donor database and accurate records within CRM (DonorPerfect)
    • Maintains data entry and reporting.
    • Analyzes and segments donor and prospect lists.
  • Donation Processing
    • Ensures the accurate and timely entry of donation information in collaboration with the accounting department.
    • Prepares and sends acknowledgement letters and communications.
    • Processes and sends out in-kind donation receipts.
    • Sends notification for tribute gifts.
    • Tracks larger Memorial or Honorarium gifts for donors as requested.
    • Assists with donor acknowledgement and stewardship.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Track fundraising progress, sources of funding, donor contact reports, and other key Development department metrics to show progress through graphs and other compelling visuals and identify opportunities for growth.
    • Compile data and obtain information needed for annual impact reports, grant reports, and other external communications.
    • Collaborate with External Affairs team to develop compelling visuals that tell the Hearts for Hearing story.
  • Fundraising & Special Events
    • Supports the Directors of Development with gathering and preparing registration materials and completes other administrative duties for fundraising events as assigned.
    • Attends external events as a representative of Hearts for Hearing (benefit nights, employee giving campaigns, etc.)
  • Collateral Pieces
    • Assists the Directors of Development in creating and organizing mailing lists for development materials.
    • Creates mail merges and prints letters and envelopes.
    • Other duties as needed or required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Nonprofit Organizational Studies, or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years experience
  • Maintains a professional image
  • Maintains donor confidentiality
  • Manages time effectively
  • Exercises good judgement and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to accept feedback and adapt to changes
  • Has proficient knowledge of Microsoft office apps such as Word and Excel
  • Has excellent organization skills
  • Pays attention to detail and can perform data entry with very little to no error
  • Experience in the following programs is not required, but preferred:
    • Constant Contact
    • Form builder experience (i.e. iDonate)
    • CRM (i.e. DonorPerfect)
