The Oklahoma City Chi Omega Alumnae hosted its 12th annual Fashion for a Passion fundraiser benefiting Hearts for Hearing on Thursday, October 3, at CK & Company in Nichols Hills Plaza. Fashion for a Passion raised $346,481.95 for Hearts for Hearing this year. This event was co-hosted by Cassie Bowen and Jane Childress with the help of a committee made up of Chi Omega Alumnae.
“The opportunity to play a small role in the continued success of Fashion for a Passion for the last few years and witness the profound effect Hearts for Hearing has on the lives of children and their families makes my heart smile,” said Cassie Bowen, co-chair of Fashion for a Passion. “It has truly been an honor and a privilege to work with the ladies of Chi Omega and the incredible staff at Hearts for Hearing to provide services for children with hearing loss.”
Fashion for a Passion was an evening filled with wine, hors d’oeuvres, shopping, raffle drawings and a fashion show that featured the latest collection from Vince.
“I continue to be amazed by the success of this event each year,” said Joanna Smith, CEO of Hearts for Hearing. “We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of the Oklahoma City Chi Omega Alumnae and CK & Company for hosting Fashion for a Passion benefiting Hearts for Hearing.”
The money raised from this event allows Hearts for Hearing to continue its mission of giving children with hearing loss the opportunity to learn to listen and talk for a lifetime.
“We have an amazing group of volunteers that work diligently to make this a sought-after event in Oklahoma City,” said Jane Childress, co-chair of Fashion for a Passion and President and CEO of CK & Company. “We have been told by many contributors and attendees that this is one of their favorite events in Oklahoma City. We have raised over $1 million since inception that helps so many children born with hearing loss in the state of Oklahoma.”

Hearts for Hearing began in 2003 to provide funding for the initial set of hearing aids for children with hearing loss in Oklahoma. In 2007, its mission expanded to become a comprehensive hearing health clinic for both children and adults. Hearts for Hearing provides a collaborative model of audiologists and speech-language pathologists working together to provide the best outcomes. In 2013, an adult clinic was opened to meet the specific needs of adults with hearing loss in Oklahoma.
