Pediatric Audiology Booth Assistant (Bilingual Spanish Required)

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Pediatric Booth Assistant to support our audiologist in a busy pediatric ENT clinic. This position plays a vital role in helping children feel comfortable and successful during audiologic evaluations.

Position Overview

The Booth Assistant works directly with pediatric patients to facilitate audiology testing in a supportive and engaging manner. This individual will assist with basic audiologic assessments after obtaining the appropriate audiology assistant licensure and will serve as a Spanish-language medical interpreter for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the audiologist during pediatric hearing evaluations
  • Support children inside the sound booth to maintain attention and engagement during testing
  • Prepare testing materials and equipment for audiologic assessments
  • Perform basic audiologic tasks under supervision (following licensure requirements)
  • Provide Spanish-language interpretation for patients and families
  • Help create a welcoming, child-friendly clinical environment
  • Document and communicate relevant patient information to the clinical team
  • Maintain infection control and clinic safety standards

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
  • Willingness to obtain audiology assistant licensure (or currently licensed)
  • Experience working with children is strongly preferred (healthcare, education, childcare, or related field)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to engage and redirect young children in a clinical setting
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
  • Team player with a positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • High School diploma or GED required
