Research Coordinator Full-time – In-Office

We are seeking a research coordinator to support ongoing clinical and translational research projects in the areas of hearing, language, and speech sciences. This role is essential to ensuring smooth study operations, high-quality data collection, and an exceptional experience for research participants including individuals with varying degrees of hearing loss. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, demonstrates high follow-through, and comfortable communicating clearly with study patients, families, and our multidisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study participant Coordination
    • Schedule and confirm research participant appointments
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, including individuals with hearing loss, using clear and accessible communication strategies
    • Support informed consent processes as needed
  • Data Management
    • Collect, enter, and maintain research data with high accuracy
    • Organize and manage datasets, study files, and documentation
    • Assist with data quality checks and preparation for analysis
  • Regulatory Support
    • Draft and prepare IRB submissions, amendments, renewals, and study reports with support
    • Maintain compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements
  • Administrative & Project Support
    • Coordinate research team meetings, including scheduling, agendas, and minutes
    • Assist with preparation of presentations, reports, and study materials
    • Support general study operations and troubleshoot logistical challenges
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with investigators, audiologists, research staff, and external collaborators
    • Demonstrate strong written communication skills for documentation, email correspondence, and regulatory materials

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with individuals who have hearing loss (training provided if needed)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with hearing loss or within a healthcare setting
  • Prior experience in research coordination or data management
  • Familiarity with REDCap or other research databases
  • Experience drafting and/or managing IRB submissions
