Generous pledge from the Masonic Charity Foundation will support the Celebration of Sound expansion project in Oklahoma City
In a major milestone for hearing healthcare in Oklahoma, the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma is awarding $1,000,000 to Hearts for Hearing to support its Celebration of Sound expansion project. This generous gift, received over a period of two years, will help the organization enhance and expand its facilities, allowing it to continue providing high-quality hearing healthcare to children and adults with hearing loss in all 77 counties of the state.
The expansion will add 30,800 square feet to Hearts for Hearing’s Oklahoma City location, enabling the nonprofit to expand its services and reach more individuals in need. This includes doubling the size of its adult clinic, creating a state-of-the-art research suite led by Dr. René Gifford, and expanding pediatric care for Oklahoma’s youngest residents.
“We are incredibly thankful to the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma for their remarkable support,” said Jennifer Burton, CEO of Hearts for Hearing. “This gift will make a world of difference in the lives of the children and adults we serve, allowing us to provide even more individuals with the life-changing gift of hearing. We are so grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to continue growing and serving more families across our state.”
“We happily support the efforts of Hearts for Hearing to enhance the quality of life for Oklahoma children and adults with a hearing loss,” said John Logan, Executive Director of the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma.
As part of its expansion, Hearts for Hearing will unveil a captivating new sculpture titled “Celebration of Sound.” This soundwave-inspired artwork will be prominently displayed within a 47-foot glass tower facing Hefner Parkway. Each evening, it will be illuminated to honor the gift of hearing given to a child, adult, or baby that day. The sculpture will stand as a powerful reminder of the joy and impact of restoring sound to those in need.
