Biography

Dr. Shelby Stephenson joined the Hearts for Hearing team as a pediatric and cochlear implant audiologist in July 2018. She graduated with a B.S. in Communication Sciences & Disorders and B.A. in Spanish from Oklahoma State University in 2014 followed by her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of North Texas in 2018. She completed her fourth-year externship at a pediatric ENT practice in the Dallas area before graduating and moving home to Oklahoma City. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and maintains membership with the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Dr. Stephenson is passionate about early identification and treatment of hearing loss through evidence-based principles and partnering with families as they navigate the journey to better hearing and communication. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, cheering on the Cowboys, trying out new recipes, hiking, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
