20th Anniversary Celebration

November 17th, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club

On Friday, November 17, 2023, Hearts for Hearing will host an evening of celebration to culminate its 20th anniversary.

In 2003, Hearts for Hearing founders Joanna T. Smith, Dr. Teresa Caraway, and Dr. Stan Baker established a leading-edge hearing care clinic dedicated to teaching babies and children born deaf or hard of hearing to learn to listen and talk like their typical hearing peers. Today, thanks to the support of our generous donors, we provide:

  • The first set of hearing technology to all children under 18
  • Audiology services and speech-language therapy to children ages 0-3 at no out-of-pocket cost to families
  • Financial assistance for audiology and speech therapy services to pediatric patients ages 3 and up

20 years later, Hearts for Hearing is recognized as one of the top hearing care Centers of Excellence in the country, and our goal remains every child who is deaf or hard of hearing in Oklahoma – no matter their income or background – deserves the opportunity to learn to listen and talk.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate the successes and possibilities realized by thousands of our patients during the past 20 years.

Celebrating 20 Years

Hearts for Hearing was founded in 2003 with a mission of providing hearing technology and speech therapy services at no out-of-pocket costs to families with children who were born deaf. 20 years later, we are still teaching babies and children born deaf to listen and talk. Our services have expanded to include adult hearing care with offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Shawnee. Our team of professionals has grown from our original three people to 117 now. Hearts for Hearing continues to provide the first set of hearing technology and therapy to children at no out-of-pocket costs to families, and now includes Newborn Hearing Screen services, major research initiatives, Eyes Open Ears On programming, and its own 3D ear mold lab.
